Next walk - 13th July Reeth
The coach will depart at 8:15 am from the Back of Micklegate car park (free parking on Sundays) in Selby, close to the Sapori restaurant. Places need to be booked on Spond in advance or by contacting our Club Secretary Helen (or Sonja via the contact form on this website) by Tuesday, 8 July 2025. If the coach is full and you would like to come on the walk, please put yourself on the waiting list. There is a good chance that a place becomes available for you at short notice. When it does, you will get a notification and Spond will automatically move your from the waiting list into the "unanswered" group where you need to confirm or decline your spot.
Please note: payments for the coach only by cheque (preferred) or in cash on the day.
Lakes Weekend: 3rd to 5th October 2025
This trip has now been cancelled due to lack of participants.
Spring weekend 2026 is likely to be in Castleton in the Lake District but it is still to be confirmed. Please watch this space.
Christmas meal and walk: 11th January 2026
The majority of you has voted for this to take place in January. We will have our meal at the Carpenter's Arms in Felixkirk, Thirsk area, preceded by a walk. A deposit of £10 will be due closer to the time.
Fancy being a walk leader?
We are always in need of members leading one of our walks. We have therefore created some guidance for anyone who is interested. The guidelines below give you all the information you need for a successful and stress-free experience. Still sounds too daunting? Why not start out as a backmarker and get some valuable experience this way. One of our more seasoned walk leaders will always be happy to help and support you.
As a thank you and reward for their time and effort, all walk leaders (front leaders) go free on the coach on "their" day as a thank you for their time and effort! If you are interested, please put your name down on the walk leaders sheet or contact a member of the committee.
