The wintry showers we had in the week coming up to our walk gave way to some warmer and drier weather and we even had some sunshine towards the end. The long walk was 11.5 miles and started in the village of Welburn. We headed towards the picturesque village of Bulmer and then on towards Terrington. From there we went on to Coneythorpe and back towards Welburn via the Temple of Four Winds and the pyramid at Castle Howard. The medium walk was 8.5 miles and took in a similar route to the long walk.
Back in Welburn some of us went to the local pub for a drink while the rest enjoyed the scrumptious cakes with coffee or tea in the local café.
