Harewood House - 13 February 2022

Despite heavy rain being forecast for the whole time of our walks, about 30 Selby fell walkers braved the elements on this gloomy Sunday morning. The long and the short walk both started at the Harewood Arms but while the long walk took in Harewood Park, the Leeds Country Way and the Ebor Way, the short walkers headed towards Emmerdale and to the Eccup Reservoir before turning back to the Harewood Arms where we all had a social drink before getting back on the coach taking us home. It was a lovely scenic walk so it was a shame not having been able to enjoy it to the full due to the constant rain and sometimes quite unpleasant wind. But lots of chatting and enjoying each others company put our minds off the miserable weather and made the walks worthwhile.
