The club left Yorkshire this time and travelled over to Lancaster along the M62 for June’s Club walk.
Both walks started in the village of Pendleton and finished in Clitheroe.
The medium/steady walk was a low level walk for Pendleton Hall, Mearley Hall, Angram Green, Moorside Bakerfield, Worston, then onto the finish at Clitheroe.
The long walk was a much tougher walk and with the hot weather it didn’t help a few of the club members. The walk headed for Nick of Pendle, then along Ogden Clough for the trig point on Pendle Hill 557 metres. From the top of Pendle Hill, the descent was over Pendle Moor and Mearley Moor, heading for Howcroft Barn and passing Mearley Hall, crossing over the A59 and into Clitheroe.
