Good numbers turned out on this pleasant late summer's day for our walks from the historic town of Ripon. We were able to offer three walks again, one long walk of 12.5 miles, a medium walk of 8 miles and a short walk of 6.5 miles - all of them easy circular and flat walks. The long walk headed along the Ripon canal towards Bishop Monkton and Wormald Green, before returning to Ripon along the Ripon Rowel Walk Route where we were passing Markenfield Hall. The medium walk took the same route along the Ripon canal towards Bishop Monkton but then headed to Fairfield and Littlethorpe before joining the canal again to return to Ripon. The short walk took in Hell Wath Nature Reserve, Fountains Abbey and Studley Royal Estate.
