The day started very cold but soon warmed up to a balmy sunny autumn day. The long walk (10.5 miles) headed north of Driffield along Long Lane towards the Piggery. Shortly after reaching the piggery, it turned west passing Wold House Farm and took the path around Elmswell Wold Farm before turning south towards Garton on the Wolds. It then turned east to Little Driffield and headed back to the centre of Driffield.

The medium walk (7.5 miles) went over the railway crossing to Riverside before taking the path adjacent to the canal. Using the path between Wansford Road and the canal it reached Wansford where the group had their first drinks stop. Turning north along the Nafferton Beck path it then headed towards the village of Nafferton for the lunch stop. From there the group walked along Marksman Lane and Meadow Lane back to Driffield.
