Great Ayton - 11th August 2024

Finally a summer walk as it should be with glorious sunshine and fabulous views.

Our August walks (long walk 9.5 miles, medium/steady walk 7.3 miles) both started at Great Ayton in the North York Moors and took in Roseberry Topping (Yorkshire's own Matterhorn) as well as the monument to Captain Cook (who went to school in Great Ayton and grew up on Airey Hill Farm below Roseberry Topping).
