On a pleasant day in June (before the heatwave set in), the club went to Whitby. The long walkers were dropped off at a lay-by on the A169, from where they followed the Coast to Coast path towards the sea. They walked through picturesque Beck Wood and on to Falling Foss Waterfall continuing over the Moor towards Hawsker where they joined the coastal path to Whitby. The medium walkers started in Whitby and followed the Cinder Track towards Stainsacre and then joined the coastal path back to Whitby while the steady walkers were dropped off at Hawsker and after walking inland for a short time eventually joined the Cleveland way back to Whitby, too.
