Today's walk started in the centre of Malton and was a fairly easy circular of 12 and 8.5 miles respectively. The longer walk took in Appleton-le-Street and Broughton and the shorter walk followed about the same route - just without some of the extra bits. Around lunchtime we stopped on the highest point of our walk enjoying lovely views over the valley while the sun just came out. Overall it was a cool but dry day and we had no trouble with any muddy bits. So an ideal day for walking in the countryside.
