During this very cold snap in December we were lucky to have the sun shining on us for the whole time which made for very pleasant winter walks in the Yorkshire Wolds starting from Pocklington. The combined short and medium walk (7 miles) went out to Millington and the Buddhist Centre while the long 11-mile walk extended the same route via Great Givendale. As it was the last walk before Christmas, walkers brought sweets, stollen, cakes and other Christmas goodies to share for a bit of festive cheer. The views over the Wolds were stunning as the pictures below will show:
